FARMS programs in Vietnam

Started in 1998

60 revolving family projects

Types of programs:

agriculture
aquaculture
animal husbandry
poultry

This program is working with underground believers that are struggling in the north of Vietnam. Tribal as well as lowland peoples are being helped. This new program has the potential of producing self-supported churches in this very needy part of Vietnam. The program consists of fruit tree cultivation, milk cow husbandry, swine production, fish-pond aquaculture, duck hatcheries, and other agricultural and animal husbandry projects.

Loans from FARMS to these needy Christians enable them to establish a solid financial footing for supporting their family and the church. Because the government is restrictive toward Christians and Christian activity, the believers are in need of support that truly helps them to meet their daily needs. In return they are also able to help others in need within their own churches. This bonding of the Body of Christ is essential for the survival of the underground Church.

Prayer:
That these believers will be strengthened daily as they live under a repressive regime.
That the church will continue to grow so that Love wins out.
That the FARMS loan beneficiaries will learn good stewardship and discipleship principles.
That these believers will support their churches and continue to evangelize their nation.
